Maserati

Update!

Here is a small initial sketch...update on the maserati V12 thing..I know, it's even more brutal and dramatic than the one bellow, but am still keen on developing this concpet into the direction alrady said....so let's see what comes up with this. Will post more soon

I couldn't help myself of making another sketch.....it seems to me that will turn into a personal project for my portfolio - Maserati sports car. At the moment this one is "too cultivated & shy" i'll look into some more aggressive & expressive in the next sketches...will post soon when I've got smth to show on the topic...one thing for sure, it's gonna be mid-engined V12

Rendering Tutorials

I decided to put together some of the tutorials I did so far. Couple of days ago I noticed that one of them is again featured in carbodydesign.com Something I didn't expect but It was nice to see it up there. The actual tutorial was done for Allan McDonald for his website www.designertechniques.com. He asked me to explain in few steps how I apply the light to the whole image....Here is the link to the tutorial...

In case you're interested in some more tutorials by me. Here are two more:

I hope the tutorials are in good use to all the people interested. I will be most happy if they are...

to the visitors...

Hello to you all!

A quick thing for the blog just to scratch the tablet......

>>>>>>>> In the meantime....dear visitors. According to Google analytics this blog has been viewed about 2200 times for the past 3 weeks with smth like 650 unique visitors, coming from 60 countries around the world. I believe some of the visitors are fans, some others professionals as some students too. I wonder why you people are so shy! Most of you just seem to look at the blog but hardly comment anything about the drawings or the design stuff posted here...
I encourage the colleagues and all the visitors in general to show themselves and feel free to express their opinion on the things posted here! I'll be most grateful!

Thank you all!

Ferrari & BMW rock!

Following the GP of Bahrain that just passed last weekend I can't help myself to post this one! What a double slap for McLaren!

One of my dreams is coming true - watching BMW & Ferrari fighting for the first places in Formula 1. Great progress by BMW and impressive drive by Robert Kubica...i've waited for sooo long to see them in this shape and Kubica is such a talented boy!
Not to mention the brilliant performance by our man Massa! Ferrari is still the monster....but I am so happy for BMW too!

Forza Ferrari anyway!

How about this???

I decided to post this one in order to gather some opinions about it. I started this project of mine at the end of 2005...still must finish it.
This is some kind of outdated topic, many people have tried the "organic thing" already...however, I thought...why not, let's see what we can do with it...
The Peugeot Leaf is concept based on the study of the organic shapes. The design theme is “sculpturing with leaves”. All the surfacing of the vehicle is dependant on this philosophy. I got some more sketchess of this one...but this one is enough to make the buzz for now.
Sooo....what do you think?

Thanks!

Here we go again!

Hello to everyone...to the old visitors, and the new ones too...

I do sorry for not posting anything for the last two months but I was quite busy.

Here is the work I did earlier this summer for the Berman Design Competition organised by the Italian company - Berman. More information about the company can be found on the website: www.berman.it

The guidelines of the competition shortly:
Creating a special version of existing production or conceptual vehicle - focusing on the exterior only. I was allowed to add accessory parts or replace original OE components, bumpers, front grilles, side skirts, spoilers, mouldings etc. NO modification on the original bodywork permitted.

I was given two cars to work on: Jaguar CF-X and Renault Koleos.

The sports version of the Jaguar CF-X was focused on bringing more character and attitude to the car. I tried to bring distinctive and classical view to the vehicle, which at the same time is elegant, sporty and matches the Jaguar identity. Together with the British Racing Green colour, the general look of the car was enhanced by the use of white painted details or white chrome. I have considered couple of options for the material used for the side panels transforming the car. The more feasible and cheap way is using fibre-glass body panels, fitted to the existing bodywork. The second and more expensive in all the aspects, but more prestigious is the carbon-fibre. Panels stretched precisely with the shape needed and then fixed on the actual body of the vehicle.

Here are the images of the Jaguar....these days I will upload the Renault too. Hope you enjoy it!

FORZA FERRARI!!!!!!

Finally, both titles are back to Scuderia Ferrari - where they do belong!

It was a carzy seazon with loads ot controversial scandals on the race track and in the pits.
The last race in Brasil was exactly what everyone deserved this year and most important, the Champion's title was not given to McLaren's driver. The team of McLaren polluted the F1 sport in 2007 and the justice was laid upon them! Such a relief!

So, Congratulations to Kimi & Massa...Congratulations to Ferrari!

Viva Ferrari!
